Why The Centre Line Cross
There is a Cross or a Plus "+"sign that appears at the centre of each of the full sheet of 100 stamps as printed by the America Bank Note Co. When the perforations are completed, this mark is usually unseen, although if the perforations are note exactly centred, traces of the mark may still be seen. Why this mark was there has been a mystery, however an explanation is now available in the 2007 Xmas Newsletter.
